Meet the Team

Juanita Lewis

Juanita Lewis
My introduction to the real estate industry began in 1987, with Farmers Home Administration, USDA.   While working with FmHA I learned how to service delinquent loans.  During my time there I was responsible for reducing the delinquency rate from an approaching 10% to 2.9%, one of the lowest in the nation.  I was able to maintain a good rapport with the delinquent borrowers.

Next I became a of US Bank’s, Community Lending Division. I was employed as a Secretary then moved to a Loan Processor and learned the details of that position which helped me move up to a Loan Officer. While working in the Community Lending Division of US Bank I gained knowledge about the Community Reinvestment Act. I was able to gain a greater understanding of the lending and servicing side of real estate.

I was encouraged to pursue my real estate license and join the team at Goree and Thompson Real Estate, Inc. I have been employed here since 1997. It has been one of the most fulfilling opportunities ever given to me to be part of this growing company. I have learned the full circle of real estate, from the beginning to the end. I have been taught by a well experienced broker whose passion for real estate shines in her actions and day to day dealings.

Working close with our reliable agents and staff is like working with a close knit family. While here I have been able to help market properties and build good working relationships with our corporate clients, vendors and other agents. Working here has brought a greater sense and desire to help others. I have been able to help in giving back to community by organizing donations to our favorite charities. I am honored to be a part of a company that is able to help others obtain their dream of home ownership.  Reach Juanita Lewis directly at (916) 284-7211 or e-mail Juan1emay@aol.com

Darius Graham

“As a person, I pride myself on helping my fellow peers be the best version of themselves. I always keep my eye on the bigger picture. I maintain honesty and integrity in my words and back them up with hard work and results. I value keeping the best interest of anyone I come across at heart at all times. I have been around real estate for most of my life so I have grown up knowing and believing that generational wealth can be started and built through owning property. My mother Darlene Graham, a successful realtor at Goree & Thompson Real Estate Inc., instilled this understanding in me through her example of professionalism and continued mentorship. Being around Goree & Thompson Real Estate Inc. since a child and witnessing client’s journey towards homeownership, there was no other place I wanted to be when I decided to start my realtor career.

Before becoming a realtor, I was a student-athlete at the University of California, at Davis, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Sociology while starting at the position of point guard for the men’s basketball team. Some accomplishments I am proud of include, being a finalist for the national Senior CLASS award (notable achievements in the community, classroom, character, and competition), the Allstate Good Works Team selection (exemplary level of charitable involvement), and holding the school record for most assists by a Division 1 player in UC Davis men’s basketball history. I plan on continuing adding to my record by assisting people in obtaining homeownership and in their journey of life to build generational wealth.”

“Darius Graham is a true leader and a credit to UC Davis. I am proud of all he accomplished here, and I look forward to watching his successful real estate career progress.”

I was born in Sacramento, California in August 2000. I attended Leonard Da Vinci school from Kindergarten to 8th grade. During my attendance at this school it taught me to appreciate art and creativity to the fullest. I graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School in 2018 and placed in the National Society of High School Scholars, and received an award in Excellence in Fine Arts as well as an award for Art of Kindness. Shortly after that, I enrolled at Cosumnes River College. While attending Cosumnes River College, I officially joined Goree and Thompson Real Estate, Inc. as an Administrative Assistant. I am in the pursuit of furthering my career with Goree and Thompson Real Estate, Inc, and have completed my classes necessary to take the Real Estate Exam in the near future.

I am very excited to further advance my real estate career with the mentorship of my Aunt, Zoritha Thompson, CEO/Broker of Goree and Thompson Real Estate, Inc and my Mother, Juanita Lewis, CO-Broker/Manager of Goree and Thompson Real Estate, Inc. I basically grew up in the office as a little baby, I am very familiar with real estate terms already, having heard them all my life! 😊

During 2021, I attended and completed the Peers helping Peers program which dealt with helping others with mental health. This program helped place me with an internship with Impound Comics, a local comic book shop based in downtown Sacramento, with a hero from Sacramento.

I have recently opened my own company, Light Arts, LLC. My business is basically the sale of art and I am working to help other youth to enjoy art and their own creativity.
